“Every globe has a different idea and all those different ideas affect our world… There are so many things you can do and every globe shows what you can do to help.” Malou, Grazebrook Student
The Cool Globes project is a public art exhibition about climate change that originated in the United States. We adapted the project for a classroom setting and delivered a series of workshops for students at Grazebrook Primary School in Hackney, London.
The participants developed creative skills through the use of 3D-modelling and painting to explore their thoughts and feelings about climate change, as well as considering possible solutions to the problem. They worked together to create an art display for the school to raise awareness and engage the wider community in the subject of climate change. You can see part of the exhibition in our video about the project, which you can watch here.
