Between late 2019 and early 2020, we partnered with The Winch to deliver community organising training to a group of young people affected by youth violence who were working on a participatory action research project, Take Back the Power.
Through four, day-long training sessions we provided them a place to explore youth violence, introduced them to the community organising framework and tools for engaging communities in social action, and supported them to develop strategies for change.
The Winch is a charity that has worked with local young people in Camden and nearby areas since 1973. You can find out more about The Winch on their website by clicking here and more about Take Back the Power by clicking here.
