“You think about people around the world and their cultures. You can’t become internationally minded in just one lesson: you have to learn through your whole life.” – Fatima, Year 6 Grazebrook student.
International Mindedness was Creative Opportunities’ very first project! We invited children from Grazebrook primary school in Hackney, London, to creatively explore the idea of International Mindedness and how people relate to their environment.
Taking inspiration from artist Ed Fairburn’s Human Geography series, the participants created their own artworks, reflecting each child’s personal thoughts and feelings of International Mindedness. The artwork was turned into a display celebrating diversity at the school.
The workshop was organised in partnership with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and was funded by O2 Think Big.
