Deadline to Apply: Thursday 5th December 2024
We are excited to announce the launch of the Creative Opps Membership Programme. We want to ensure that young people’s voices are at the centre of our decision-making and direction. To maximise our impact and reach many more young people, we are inviting you to join as a member of Creative Opps! We would like you to support us to design and develop our programmes of work and drive us forward with your passion, ideas and expertise.
What is Youth Membership?
At Creative Opps, we have created diverse opportunities across marketing, community outreach, finance, fundraising, technology, creative arts and beyond for you to develop your skills. We are dedicated to bringing your innovative ideas to life. We believe in your potential and aim to support your creativity by providing a platform for your projects and compensating you for your contributions. Join us for a three-month trial to experience firsthand before you decide to formally join as a member.
We welcome young people with all levels of expertise—whether you’re a Canva pro, a finance expert, or just eager to learn about graphic design or fundraising, we want you on board. Additionally, if you have a particular skill or area of knowledge, you can propose a “learning development session” and be paid £100 per session to share your expertise with the Creative Opps community.
Youth members can choose the areas of the organisation—referred to as member ‘circles’—they wish to join. These roles will involve contributing to the circles, shaping organisational strategy, providing feedback through surveys and interviews, and exploring innovative approaches to governance and decision-making, including electing Trustees at the Annual General Meeting.
Roles and Opportunities:
• Incubator: Do you have ideas of services or programmes you would like to design? We want to assist you to bring your ideas to life!
• Research and Data Collation: Collect and analyse data to inform our strategies and measure our impact, ensuring we’re making a difference where it counts. Support us to considerately collect statistics about the work we do and communities we work with.
• Creative Arts: Express yourself through artistic, literary, musical, and performing arts by inspiring others. We care about your creative work and would like you to share what you’ve done and collaborate with others on creative projects. We welcome you to be part of our network of creatives we work with and can involve in our future activities!
• Finance + Fundraising: The ideas brought to us in our incubator and creative arts need financing. Learn about budgets and assist in financial planning. Contribute to securing resources for impactful initiatives. Conduct research on new fundraising ideas and how we can start implementing these.
• Outreach and Partnerships: Assist us in reaching out to collaborate with different organisations to bring our work to life. Make a direct impact by collaborating with local communities and creative organisations.
• Graphic Design: Create compelling designs using tools like Canva, crafting visuals that captivate and communicate our mission effectively.
• Marketing and Communications: Utilise social media and other platforms to amplify our message, engage our community, and communicate new opportunities. Evaluate our existing communications plan and develop it further exploring other platforms we should be on.
• Technology: We want to be using the best tools and platforms for remote collaboration. Support us to develop inclusive resources and training to help work online and suggest ways to keep our work relevant to the advances in technology we are living through.
