This paid placement offers the opportunity to work across both festival marketing and production, supporting one of East London’s leading jazz festivals from planning through to delivery.

Job Responsibilities
Marketing
- Create and schedule social media content for Instagram and TikTok.
- Coordinate artist announcements, including collecting biographies, press images, logos and approvals.
- Liaise with artists, partners and sponsors to support cross-promotion.
- Submit festival listings across relevant platforms.
- Capture photo and video content during the festival, including live posting across the weekend.
- Monitor and report on social media reach, engagement and ticket referrals.
Production
- Support artist advancing, including technical riders, hospitality, travel, backline and input lists.
- Maintain artist databases, advancing trackers and running orders.
- Prepare artist information packs, site maps and production schedules.
- Assist with crew and volunteer scheduling.
- Coordinate suppliers, equipment hires and festival load-in.
During the Festival
- Act as an artist liaison, welcoming performers and supporting stage calls.
- Help manage green room hospitality and artist rider fulfilment.
- Support communication between stage management, front of house and the production office.
- Assist with accreditation, guest lists and box office operations.
Person Specification
- Available to work throughout Jazz on Wick, Friday 4 – Sunday 6 September 2026, including festival build and derig.
- Some experience in events, music, marketing or production is desirable.
- Confident using Instagram and TikTok; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and CapCut or Premiere Pro is an advantage.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Comfortable communicating with artists, partners and suppliers, and confident following up when needed.
- An interest in jazz is welcome but not essential.
Desirable Skills
- Photography or videography experience.
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms or scheduling tools.
